What ChunkArc is
ChunkArc connects a guided website and Discord onboarding flow to a Pelican control panel and Wings game node. Users can choose supported Minecraft software, claim a memorable name.chunkarc.net address and manage their console and files without sharing staff credentials.
The current service is a live beta, not an unlimited production plan. Free servers have published resource limits and a player-aware idle stop so unused capacity can return to the community. We do not promise automatic customer backups on the Free Beta, so important worlds should also be kept locally.
How we test the platform
Changes are checked against the real ChunkArc customer flow: sign in with Discord, create a server, choose software and a version, start it from the panel and join through its custom address. High-risk infrastructure changes are backed up first and tested before they are treated as complete.
The beta also records operational signals such as provisioning failures, node availability and unusual server behavior. These checks help protect shared capacity, but they do not replace a user keeping a safe copy of their own world.
How ChunkArc guides are written
Guides are written and reviewed by the ChunkArc team around questions users encounter while running a real server. We compare the instructions with current ChunkArc behavior and link to upstream documentation when a setting belongs to Minecraft, Paper, Fabric or another project.
Every guide carries a visible review date. We update that date only when the instructions or platform behavior have been checked and materially changed. If a guide and the live panel disagree, the live behavior is investigated and the guide is corrected.
What we optimize for
- Clarity: limits and beta behavior should be visible before creation.
- Safety: customer access is separated from staff and infrastructure controls.
- Small communities: the experience is designed for friends, testing and early worlds.
- Honest growth: future plans are announced only after capacity and demand are understood.
